TODAY'S RECIPE - LAMB SHANK


Today we are going to learn how to make a delicious LAMB SHANK.
Here are some of the ingredients
-2 tps olive oil
-2 tbs Plain flour
-Salt $ freshly ground pepper
-4 lamb shanks, trimmed
-1 brown onion, chopped
-2 garlic cloves, crushed
-2/3 cup (160 ml ) red wine
-700 ml Vegetable stock pr cooking source
-600 milk or 1/2 and 1/2 cream and milk mix
-600g cleaned potatoes
-250g green beans
-250g of baby carrots
-250g courgettes
-1/3 cup chopped fresh continental parsley
-1 lemon, rind finely granted
-1 garlic clove extra crushed
-4 springs of rosemary
 
after having all the ingredients ready. now follow the steps below on how to make your LAMB SHANK

STEP ONE
Heat oil in a large heavy-based saucepan over medium high heat. season flour with salt and pepper then coat lamb in flour, shaking off excess. Add to pan and cook, turning often, for 5 to 6 minutes or util browned. Remove from pan. Add onion and garlic and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until soften slightly

STEP TWO
Increase heat to high and add wine to pan. cook for 2 minutes. Transfer all the ingredients to a decent sized cooking pot on low heat. stir in cooking sauce and bring to a simmer. Add lamb shanks to pot, add rosemary springs. cover and reduce heat to low. cook,covered for 1-1 or until the lamb is very tender. season with salt and pepper.

STEP THREE
Mean while cook potatoes in a large saucepan of boiling water until tender. Drain well, mash and beat in milk Combine parsley, lemon and extra garlic together and set aside. steam green beans, carrots and courgettes, set aside

STEP FOUR
Divide lamb shanks and source among serving bowls. Top with parsley. serve with mashed potato and beans.
